Our Goal
Creating Sustainable Development Through Conservation
LEARNING
Knowledge is Power
We want to make learning as accessible as possible. That is why we have created free downloadable learning resources which include our guidebook 'PNG Community Conservation: A Guidebook for Conservation and Biological Monitoring'. We also host some materials from our courses as well as information of conservation perspectives in PNG.
TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AND NEWS
Helping Communities to Help Themselves
New Guinea Binatang Research Centre and partners host training courses designed to give conservation communities the skills and knowledge they need to establish and manage conservation projects. You will find details of upcoming training events here, as well as news from our conservation network across PNG.
CONSERVATION PARTNERS
AND ACTIVITIES
Shining a Light on Conservation
It is important that conservation communities have a platform where they can share their thoughts, updates and successes with the general public. We hope that this will both inspire other communities to get involved and give well deserved recognition for all the hard working people that make community conservation possible in PNG.
WAYS TO HELP
Everybody Can Make a Difference
Conservation is a team effort, and that means everybody. We want to provide an opportunity for all to get involved. We call upon individuals, NGOs and funding agencies interested in our work to join us through providing expertise or donations to our cause. Likewise we ask every individual to help us better understand conservation opinions in PNG by filling in a brief questionnaire.
